The definition of identity presumes the state or fact of remaining the same one or ones, as under varying aspects or conditions.

The definition of identification is: an act or instance of identifying; the state of being identified.

The profile of identity, is made up of various aspects: Gender, age, religion, natural abilities, passions, job roles. These forms of identification, assume that a persons state of being is fixed.

How we identify ourselves, defines who we are in that context, at that given time and at that moment. It may work in our favour it may not.

We teach people that they need to know who they are, however, we do it with the assumption that once we identify who we are, that this, is who will we be for the rest of our breathing days. The reality is, our identity will reshape itself as it learns, grows, develop, experiences and interacts with the world around them.

Identity is about understanding which aspects are changeable, adaptable, fixed to be able to combat the various extremes and subtleties in life.

Holding this view of identity gives people the permission to adapt, change and transform. When people experience hardship in their lifes, instead of pursuing blame, conjuring up justification statements, locking oneself into a warp of hopelessness, people are more like to manoeuvre, dance, bypass, sidestep their way out of what could be a potentially self destructing event.

Be who are you, but continue to be the best you, you can be.

Transformation starts with 1degree mindset shift.
